Apple has a new iPod out. I really “need” one of these along with the new Nokia 3650…
Business 2.0 has a really interesting article on “spy” technology produced by a company called SAIC. Then there’s this company called DynCorp. This is the kind of stuff movies are made from.

Last night I watched “Catch Me If You Can” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. I LOVED this movie! It’s all about social engineering! It’s based on the true life story of Frank Abagnale how he conned $2.5mil by forging checks and lived the life of an airline pilot, doctor and lawyer all before his 21st birthday.
This movie was great inspiration of creative thinking and personal confidence (not that I engage in, or condone illegal activities, but this kid was brilliant). He, like many ex-hackers, is now a security consultant who makes millions of dollars legitamately by helping banks, governments and other institutions protect themselves from fraud.
I’ve always been fascinated by this type of applied creative thinking. That’s why I’m drawn to similar subjects such as:
•Computer hackers (Kevin Mitnick)
•Computer Security
•Martial Arts
•Magic
All of these subjects deal with analyzing some system and creatively finding ways to “exploit” it. What’s more interesting is the subject of martial arts and magic. Martial arts is the art of creatively analyzing the reaction and response of a person when attacking or defending and finding ways to manipulate their “system” to diffuse and divert their attacks. It deals with psychology, physics, awareness, and manipulation of physical attributes. Magic is the art of misdirection and deception and deals also deals with psychology, physics, awareness and manipulation of all these systems to make people believe something that is not true. It’s all very fascinating.

Did I get too deep for ya?
I was on my way to acting class in Santa Monica - which is usually a 15min drive on a Sunday, when I hit a ton of traffic halfway there. I started to think that possibly there were a lot of people heading to the beach because it was such a nice day, but then I saw it. A small accident on the shoulder of the highway. People were slowing down to look at the accident.
I HATE SPECTATOR TRAFFIC!!!
Why do people have to slow down to look at stupid things? It’s not like the accident just happened. The cops were there and they were handling it. And why do you have to slow down anyway? It’s not like the accident is in the center of the road???

I have now joined the blogging revolution!
I realized that my hosting provider has all the necessary requirements for me to run Movable Type. The system is pretty nice and I will be exploring/implementing it’s features as I continue to develop this blog.
After a week of debating what I want this blog to be about, I decided on going with three major categories: Life, Entertainment, and Technology. I feel that about covers my myriad of interests and work. I plan to add a lot of media elements which show my work as an actor/comedian/performing artist but for now, I am just linking to my old site to show clips from some of the stand-up shows I’ve done.
Hope you like the new site!
Some good news came today. I was accepted into the writing/performance workshop, “All You Wanted To Know About Asian Men” taught by Dan Kwong. I’m really excited about this workshop and the opportunity to develop my own stories. There will be a performance of the finished works at the David Henry Hwang Theater in Little Tokyo. More info to come…

I saw the MTV special on Better Luck Tomorrow. I have to admit. I’m pretty jealous. I wish I was in the film. But that’s ok. This film will help open doors for the rest of us asian actors. The film is doing great at the boxoffice and is getting great reviews!
GO SEE IT!!!!
