XFlowsion Day 4

I don’t think I’ve ever done this much cardio in my entire life.

Today the instructor started us out with some yoga inspired stretching moving us into yoga/martial arts cardio routines which always include the downward-dog pose which moves through a decline push-up to a back arch. I’m really starting to feel the soreness in my triceps and shoulders especially since I went through a bench press routine at the gym yesterday. Once again I find myself finding it hard to keep up with the cardio moves half-way through the session and I’m pouring sweat. After moving through some pretty advanced ab movements which I can barely complete, there is now a pool of sweat all around my yoga mat. Our workout has ended and now it’s time to find nourishment.

Food log:

  • 70g Dymatize Elite Complex Protein
  • 1 packet of Uncle Sam’s oatmeal and flaxseed
  • 2 cups of brown rice and a small wild caught salmon fillet
  • 1 packet of Uncle Sam’s oatmeal and flaxseed
  • 1 cup of brown rice and pinto beans with onions, red peppers and sliced chicken breast
  • 10g ISS MXPro40 Protein

I just finished a tub of Dymatize Elite Complex Protein which I overpaid for at NUTRIFACT in Hollywood (the stuff there is way overpriced) but the protein blend tasted decent and easily mixed in a shaker. I bought a tub of ISS MXPro40 from the bodybuilders secret warehouse in Hollywood - N101. This protein was on sale for $19 and was a good blend of different proteins, plus had BCAA’s and L-Glutamine for muscle repair and recovery. Unfortunately, this protein blend is SUPER thick. I tried mixing it in a shaker and drinking it, but almost choked on the clumps of powder. The stuff was so thick it was like gelatin. On the upside, it tasted decent - but I tossed out the remaining 12oz of the stuff down the drain.

Endorphin High

I just had the most intense workout in my life. In the end I was high off endorphins. My mind wanted to keep going but my muscles were out of energy. Tonight my trainer was pushing me to the next level concentrating on perfecting my form and lifting more total volume. I lifted a lot of weight. The trainer pushed me past my limits to complete muscle failure. It’s the only way to grow.

Now I’m re-fueling and repairing with targeted nutrition - 50g of whey protein, Vitalstate creatine and some chicken soup.

I feel totally hardcore (don’t laugh).

REPAIR TABLE mt_entry

Earlier this evening I thought I lost all my entries for this blog and my wife’s blog. My wife had encountered an error when publishing an entry and the system was showing there were no entries in both blogs. Turns out that one of the database tables got corrupted. After a bunch of Google searches and reading documentation on mySQL, an hour later I learned about this handy little mySQL command “REPAIR TABLE” and now everything is running again (and archived for safe keeping)!

Let me catch my breath…

Sometimes life feels like it’s moving too fast…

We have contractors starting work on our roof to replace all the shingles. Turns out that even though our roof is only one year old, the last owner of the house had an un-licensed worker install it - and they did a horrible job. Our roof is leaky and we need it replaced so we’re getting the work done now before the rain comes. We are also having another contracter come back to restore the woodwork and re-paint two more rooms downstairs. This guy did an AMAZING job on our dining room so we are using him again. Then there’s the whole issue of exterior paint colors and shingle colors… green or brown, etc, etc…

On another note, Heather’s G4 has a dead ethernet card and it needs to be repaired. Luckily she is between design projects or else I would just have to run to the apple store and buy her a new G5. I still might get her the G5 depending on how bad the problem is to her machine.

My machine is also continuing to have intermittant problems. Sometimes the machine won’t even boot! I tried to diagnose the problem and my suspiscion is either the video card or the mother board. But I no longer have the time or patience to fix it so I’m going to buy a laptop while trying to finish two freelance programming gigs. My cell phone is also dying on me so I will need a new cell as well…

Our old Ford Taurus is also starting to die. We’ve already sank over $1000 into fixing it but we will need to purchase a new vehicle soon…

My creative meeting w/ Dan Kwong for the second performance of “Everything You Ever Wanted to know About Asian Men” went well and now I have to schedule another creative meeting for next week before he leaves for Japan. That also means I need to start editing and working on my piece.

I have an audition tomorrow (today) for Avaya.

I need to reherse my new scene “The Country Girl” with my new partner.

blah, blah, blah….

Did you know Christmas is coming!?!?!?! Stores are already starting to put out Christmas merchandise!

I don’t even have time to put links into this post or even bother to change the posting date to yesterday. Oh well…
