I-Channel

So I had that audition this morning for a sketch comedy group performing on Asian Street Comedy on the I-Channel. It’s funny because everyone I have spoken to has no idea how to get the I-Channel. Supposedly they have 11 million viewers. Well anyway, I was the first one to go this morning and I felt like it went really well. I made the casting people laugh. That’s important since it is a sketch comedy show.

Later this afternoon I found myself reviewing some of my old video of when I did stand-up. I’ve been thinking of trying to get out there again and do the LA comedy club scene. I checked out some other asian comics and felt like my material and delivery are pretty different and unique. I think I could really hold my own out there. But then there’s that whole time issue and the fact that I already work non-stop on various projects…

I found out today that there are two more weeks of principal photography for the movie I’m in (”Mah Jong”). I’m excited that the project will be moving into post production. The director sent out an email asking for bio’s to put on the website. So now I have to come up with a new one. I know I have one already written on this site, but it’s time for a re-write.

My friend Jeff and I are also gearing up to make our own independent movie. Right now we’re just in the conceptual phase but we’re determined to put out a project this year.

Along with that topic I continue to do research on independent filmmaking. The most important thing I’m learning right now is lighting. How do you light a scene for film without spending hundreds of dollars on professional lighting kits?
